Dear Sisters in Christ,
Greetings to you all in the name of our loving Saviour Jesus Christ!! Hope this finds you in love peace and joy of our Saviour. In Proverbs we read “ The wise woman builds her home but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands” . I was wondering what the characteristics of wise woman are. In Proverbs 31 we read about the noble character of a wife. Today I want you to know how special you are. This passage not only encourages us but also teaches about what it takes to become a wife of a noble character.
- You are Special
Many a times you may not be appreciated for what you do or for who you are but don’t work yourself up because in proverbs we read that “A wife of noble character is worth way more than rubies “.
Sometimes its just a way the people around you are. Not that they don’t want to appreciate you but they just don’t say things out. Instead of worrying about not being appreciated just appreciate the way they are and life will be easy
- Do good and no harm
Whenever you get a chance do good. Even though people around you don’t do good things make a difference by doing good and not harming people. Talking politely, controlling anger, avoiding arguments are doing good for the family. In times of serious arguments just say a silent prayer in your heart and calm yourself down. You will see the difference. The situation around you will calm down because The One in you is greater.
- Helping the poor and needy
You must be open to help the poor and needy either by providing food or clothes or even love, an act of kindness. Love is the greatest thing you can show to the one who is poor and needy. A person to care for them is all they need.
- You are clothed with strength and Dignity
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me is my all time favourite verse. You can face any problem with His help. You are called to conquer. When things go downhill in your life stay strong, bend your knees and let the Lord work in you. He will stand for you, with you and help you overcome the situation.
- Never idle
If at all you are idle just keep yourself busy with anything you like .Make your hobby a profession. My mom used to tell me during summer holidays when I just sat idle not doing anything, “An idle mind is a devil’s workshop.” When you are idle you tend to analyse unnecessary stuff and a small word in an argument can turn into a huge volcano. Even in Titus 2:5 Paul says that women must be busy at home.
